Your Data, Your Walls: Delivering Containerized Deployments with SparkOPS Edge

Speak to anyone running a substation, an offshore platform or a forward operating base about what keeps them up at night, and "where does my data live?" lands near the top. We know the security issues. We know the importance around containerized deployments and data sovereignty. We recognize that every live session between a remote worker and an expert, every procedure on a headset, is operational intelligence. We appreciate our customer’s concern and have developed a platform - SparkOPS Edge - that ensures data is secure and containerized for modern server application deployments. That’s because shipping it off to someone else's cloud and hoping for the best isn't a strategy. It's a liability.

SparkOPS Edge: the whole stack, on a server you own

SparkOPS Edge is the on-premises (or private cloud) deployment of our mixed-reality remote work support platform, RemoteSpark. It's lightweight, portable, and built to run its services on a single Linux server, inside your perimeter, on your infrastructure. Focusing on a containerized deployment means they stand up the same way every time, whether that server lives in a corporate data centre or a rack in a hangar. No sprawling architecture to babysit.

Our customers own the data

This is the part that matters. When SparkOPS Edge runs on the hardware, our customer controls the security and makes the decision who gets access. Their network. Their rules. Their accreditation process. For a utility answering to a regulator, or a Prime answering to a defence customer, that isn't a nice-to-have. It's the price of entry. At Kognitiv Spark, data sovereignty stops being a promise buried in a contract and becomes a plain fact about where the server sits. SparkOps Edge does not call home to Kognitiv Spark, ever.

How it integrates with AI

For optional AI powered functions, these can be powered by Google Gemini, OpenAI or a local OpenAI compatible endpoint (using a llama.cpp container for example). The AI endpoints are the customer's accounts, not ours. This further empowers the customer to use their own infrastructure and their own AI providers if they want to use the optional AI features in SparkOps Edge.

This is formal process, not an add-on

At Kognitiv Spark, our team doesn't hand over a set of containers and wish our customers luck. Every SparkOPS Edge deployment follows our documented installation guide, which takes a team through it in order:

  1. Prerequisites: what has to be in place before anything gets configured.

  2. Installation: SparkOPS Edge goes onto your server.

  3. Configuration: set up to fit your environment.

  4. Startup: services brought online.

  5. Initial administration: so your people own it from day one.

Backing that up is a network diagram, so a security team can see exactly how SparkOPS Edge sits on your network. We also supply a step-by-step checklist so nothing gets skipped at 2 a.m. Repeatable, auditable, and reliable.

We’re committed to data sovereignty and containerization deployments

Remote expert support should make operations stronger, not offer an attack surface bigger. Keep the data secure, keep the deployment simple, and keep control where it belongs: safe and secure. Does your security or IT team need to know more? We would be happy to have a conversation with them up-front vs after go-live. Book a call and let's talk through your data and security environment.
